    The ultimate, wonderfully fragrant Scented Botanist Afternoon Tea! From salted caramel, orange blossom and lemon macaroons inspired by the Citrus Grove, or scones, cream and preserves inspired by The Lost Orchard, to chocolate, nutmeg and ginger mousse with chocolate and cinnamon soil inspired by The Spice Garden, our Afternoon Tea is utterly unique and absolutely delicious.

  • Indulgence Days

    10am - 4.30pp

    Treat yourself to one of our Indulgence Days combining wellbeing, perfumery, a delicious lunch, all in the beautiful setting of Keyneston Mill.  

    Starting with welcome drinks and a fruit platter, you will then be guided through a morning of Dru Yoga in the Dome and River Meadow, and Walking Meditation in the gardens.  You will then be treated to a delicious healthy lunch in The Scented Botanist (glass of wine optional!) - before a creative fragrance blending workshop in the afternoon.  Suits all ages and abilities, and you will go home chilled, spoiled and fragrant!

  • Food & Film Fridays

    On the first Friday of each month from May to September, join us at Keyneston Mill for a feast of cinematc and culinary treats with themed menus and films celebrating life and love from around the world.  Tickets (pre-booked only) are £28 per person to include a 2-course supper in the Scented Botanist Bistro followed by the feature film shown in the beautiful intimate setting of the gardens at Keyneston Mill**.  See our website for full details of up-coming films.  Tickets can be purchased online or in The Scented Botanist Bistro-Cafe.

    Every Wednesday, Friday, Sunday



    A short (45 mins to 1 hour) tour of the gardens at Keyneston Mill. You’ll get a unique insight into how we go about creating oils for perfume from seed to bottle here at Keyneston Mill. Discover some of the experimental plants that we grow, harvest and distill to create our fragrances, with exclusive glimpses of the open lab, the distillation equipment and some of our precious oils!

  • Understanding Natural Ingredients & Distillation Workshop

  • Make Your Own Fragrance - Blending workshop


    1.15pm arrival; 1.30pm start -4pm

    A  hands on session where you will learn about ingredients and, under the guidance of our experts, create your own fragrance.  You will come away with a simple perfume that you will have designed and blended yourself! 

    You can book this workshop together with Introduction to Perfume & Botanical Extracts (recommended), or just on its own.

    9:45am arrival; 10:00am start - 12:30pm

    A half-day introductory workshop giving an overview of the structure and theory of fragrance, and the creation of perfume ingredients and methods of distillation at Keyneston Mill. You'll come away understanding more about fragrance families, how perfumes are constructed, and how we create our fine fragrances at Parterre, from seed to bottle. Be prepared to sniff!

    Road Directions

    From the A354, north bound - turn right off the A354 onto Langton Long. South bound - turn left off the A354 onto Langton long. Continue for 2.2 miles. We are located on the right.

    From the A31, northeast bound - turn left (southwest bound turn right) onto B3075, continue 1.7 miles and continue straight over the A350 for 0.6 miles. Turn left at the war memorial and follow the road for 0.7 miles. We are located on the left.

    From Wimborne Road/B3082 turn opposite the True Lover's Knot pub.  Drive right through Tarrant Keyneston and continue beynd until you reach the staggered crossroads.  We are located just straight ahead.
