Group Friendly Accommodation in Dorset
If you're travelling to Dorset with a group, one of the first things to do as the organiser is find somewhere large enough to accommodate your group, making sure it has all the facilities that your guests will need during their stay.
Whether you are staying for a week, a few days or just 24 hours, we’ve got a great selection of places to stay which welcome groups.
On this page you will find hotels, B&Bs, campsites, self-catering properties and hostels which accept group bookings for 10 or more guests.
If you need some extra advice, contact one of our Tourist Information Centres or Self-Catering Agencies, who will be pleased to help.
Coach parties
Organising accommodation for a coach party? Probably a hotel with a mix of double, twin and family rooms is what you’re looking for. But if you have a small group, then you might consider some of our larger B&B’s - some will offer exclusive hire.
Family and friends
Perhaps you’re a large group of family or friends looking for separate lodges, caravans or cottages. Each can family can have their own home from home but be close to each other, so everyone gets to have their own space; a life-saver for a family holiday! Dorset has lots of choice – from lively holiday parks to forest lodges and cosy cottages.
Educational visits
If you’re bringing a school, college or university group to Dorset for a field study trip, you might want to consider one of our hostels or bunkhouses.
Or maybe you’ll opt for one of our residential centres which offer accommodation, food and activities all wrapped-up into one package. Plus they offer national curriculum based study so the students will be learning disguised as a holiday! Our residential centres include Cumulus Outdoor Adventure and Dorset Council Outdoor Education Centres.
Stags and Hens
Our large hotels and self-catering properties are great for stag and hen parties. Choose a hotel in the centre of town to be close to all the action or a large house or cottage tucked away in the Dorset countryside – some even have their own swimming pools and spa facilities or can arrange access to activities like golf, horse riding, kayaking and mountain biking.
Or you might like to opt for one of our activity centres where you can stay, eat and take part in outdoor sports like archery, dragon boating and high rope adventures.
Walking Groups
Walking groups will love our group friendly accommodation. Rest your head (and legs) at a plush luxury hotel, homely B&B or no-fuss hostel or bunkhouse. Or maybe you're bringing your home with you and need somewhere to pitch your tent. Don't worry, we've got something for all budgets and requirements. Some of them are located along our popular walking routes, so you can step out the door and get straight on the trail.
Look out for accommodation which has been given a Walkers Welcome award - a boot drying area or a luggage transfer is always helpful.
