You can submit your own event to our Visit Dorset website - it's totally free of charge and easy to do! The Visit Dorset event pages are hugely popular and appear at the top of search engine results for searches such as 'events in Dorset' and 'what's on in Dorset'.
Anyone can promote their event so long as it is located in Dorset and something visitors to Dorset will be interested in attending.
Non Visit Dorset members may submit up to a maximum of 10 events per year. For unlimited event listings and additional promotional benefits, consider becoming a member. Please contact us for more information.
We suggest that you use Google Chrome website browser when completing the form.
Simply enter the details into the form below together with an image in LANDSCAPE orientation - JPG, PNG or GIF format and under 2MB in file size. Forms submitted using all capital letters will be declined. Please do not include a year on the event title (e.g. Dorset Carnival 2026). If you organise a large annual event, we should be able to update last years event listing for you to save your time, so please let us know if that's the case.
Please note, we do not accept the following types of event:
- An event that does not occur at a venue or location within Dorset, unless you are already a Visit Dorset member.
- Small community events e.g. school fayres, clubs, societies, art/crafts.
- Small charity events e.g. 5k run, dog walks – we will only include major charity events.
- Regular cinema or film screenings, theatre events or music venue events, unless you are already a Visit Dorset member.
- Recurring, regular (i.e. weekly or fortnightly) events - please see our membership packages for more information about how we can help.
Visit Dorset is not obliged to list events submitted and reserves the right to edit or decline any event.
You will not be able to update your event once the form has been submitted - please contact us with any amendments.
