Weymouth has a rich heritage and history that is celebrated by a number of themed events held in the town.

Celebrate the areas military history with the Armed Forces Day Celebrations or go back in time and celebrate Weymouth’s swashbuckling past with the Pirate Day at Nothe Fort.

Weymouth enjoys a great line up of fabulous music events and festivals featuring music from well-known established groups and up and coming local artists.

The Quayside Music Festival is always a favourite - located on the harbourside it plays host to a wonderful party atmosphere over the bank holiday weekends in during May and August. With this and more we’re confident that you will find the right soundtrack for your visit to Weymouth.

Weymouth's fabulous food and drink events

Weymouth provides the location for a number of fabulous food events with none more popular than The Dorset Seafood Festival. With mouth-watering seafood stalls and celebrity chef demonstrations, we guarantee that you will sample some of the most wonderful seafood found anywhere.

Going for gold in Weymouth

Weymouth’s fantastic location and stunning natural surroundings provides the perfect backdrop for some top level events. For this reason it was selected at one of the host locations outside of London for the 2012 Olympic Games, hosting the sailing events on its world class sailing waters.

If it’s out on the water, on its golden sands or along the famous esplanade, Weymouth offers the perfect venue. The town welcomes many top level marathons and triathlons throughout the year and is one the regular stops for the Ironman and Bustinskin events series. Don’t worry if you don’t think you’re up to competing, take your place in the crowd and cheer on the competitors!
