Shopping in Bournemouth

Whether you are looking for the latest fashion trends, some antique jewellery or a piece or art to remind you of your holiday, you’re sure to find it in Bournemouth or the nearby coastal villages.

And there are plenty of coffee shops, cafés and restaurants to take a break from shopping and rest your feet a while.

Don’t forget that you can get to all of Bournemouth's shopping districts by bus, so why not leave the car at home and let someone else do the driving.

Bournemouth Town Centre

Bournemouth’s pedestrianised high street stretches in two directions from the town square. You’ll find a huge range of big-name brands, independent retailers and boutiques, as well as Bobby's Department Store. So if you’re looking to get your fashion fix, Bournemouth town centre is the perfect place.

There are also several small indoor shopping arcades to explore – which are great for rainy days.

If you’re seeking some high-end fashion, jewellery or art, head to Westover Road. As well as luxurious products, the exclusive boutiques and retailers also offer a first class service.

Why not make a day of it and wander through the beautiful gardens, have lunch at one of the many cafés and bistros or watch a movie at the BH2 complex?

Castlepoint in Bournemouth

Castlepoint is Bournemouth’s largest out-of-town shopping areas, located north of Bournemouth town centre. There are 40+ high street brands with the added bonus of free parking for 4 hours. You can also grab a coffee on the go or stop for lunch at one the restaurants or cafés near the shops.

It’s easily accessed by bus, so sit back and relax while someone else does the driving.

Boscombe

Shopping in Boscombe is split into three areas - the Sovereign Centre’s indoor shopping arcade, the outdoor high street and the vintage and antique shops on Christchurch Road.

The Sovereign Centre’s 40+ shops offer everything from clothing and jewellery to homeware and beauty treatments. You’ll find both well-known brands and small, independent retailers all under one roof. The added bonus is that the bus station and multi-storey car park are right next door.

Outside on the pedestrianised high street there are more well-known brands, plus an outdoor market every Thursday and Saturday - grab yourself a bargain and sample some local flavour.

Christchurch Road is within walking distance of the main high street and is becoming a hot spot for antique dealers and vintage shops. Full of treasures and trinkets from days gone by, you can find a real piece of history here.

Westbourne

Looking for something that you won’t find on the high street? Then head to Westbourne’s independent retailers and boutiques.

There’s a mix of outdoor shopping on the high street plus a small indoor arcade. And in-between you’ll find lovely patisseries and bistros to stop for something to eat or drink while you admire your purchases.
