Activities ahoy

From testing your metal on a coasteering expedition, learning to kitesurf or taking to the waves on a high speed RIB or Jet Ski, there is plenty for you to experience!
Sit back and relax
If settling back and relaxing on a leisurely boat cruise along the Jurassic Coast is more your thing, we hear you. Sit back and enjoy the sun on your face while you take in the wonderful scenery on board one of our chartered tour boats.
Or how about going back in time to Dorset’s smuggling past and take to the high seas on board a classic tall ship? Get to grips with the running of the ship and play an active role as part of the crew!
Dive in and try something new
Many of our outdoor adventure providers offer some great ways to get out on the waves. Why not try stand up paddle boarding or sea kayaking and get up close and personal with parts of the coastline not always seen by visitors.
Poole and Portland Harbours are brilliant playgrounds for all kinds of watersports including windsurfing, kite surfing, wind foiling and hover surfing.
Perhaps you'd like to have a go at sailing but need a few lessons to get you started. Shell Bay Sailing Centre offer dinghy sailing tuition as well as dinghy hire for those of you who already know the ropes! Or set sail on a racer cruiser yacht in Poole Harbour - perfect for both newbies and experienced sailors.
Always wanted to try deep sea fishing? Here's your chance to learn from the best and land a whopper! Snapper Charters out of Weymouth and Swanage Sea Fishing offer trips for all ages and abilities and you don't need to bring your own rod and tackle, as it's all included in the price.
Don’t forget there is plenty of fun to be had below the waves as well. Enjoy a snorkelling or diving session with a fully train instructor and discover a whole new world under the waves.
