Tanks for the memories

They don’t call it the biggest day out in history for nothing! With the world’s biggest collection of tanks, exhibitions covering over 100 years of history and live action displays, you’ll be sure to have tonnes of fun at the Tank Museum.

Animal magic

Look no further than Farmer Palmers Farm Park to keep the kiddies entertained. Designed for the under 8’s, your little adventurers can feed the lambs, take a tractor-trailer ride or burn off some energy in the play zones.

For the young and young at heart, a visit to Monkey World will make you smile from ear to ear. Watch the rescued apes, orangutans and lemurs get up to all sorts of monkey business.

Take a trip back in time

The tranquil Blue Pool is a scenic beauty spot and a great place for a relaxing wander along the woodland walks or something to eat at the Tearooms.

A trip to Lulworth Castle and Park is a must for the beautiful views of the parkland and the grandeur of the Castle itself. If you feel energetic you can climb to the top of the tower and look out over the surrounding countryside and nearby coast.

Want to go hunting for fossils or take a look at some amazing fossils already discovered? The Museum of Jurassic Marine Life is an immersive indoor attraction dedicated to the fossils finds of one local man, Steve Etches, and is home to a new species unearthed at nearby Kimmeridge Bay.

Why not end the day with a film or show at Wareham’s cinema, The Rex?  It has an old-school charm about it and you can sit back with a glass of wine or head to the back row to sit in the lovers’ seats!
