Waterside Holiday Park case study shows how they lowered their energy bills, which will result in an estimated annual saving of £16,000 a year in energy costs.

Bridport Leisure Centre case study contains information about installing LED lighting with estimated £3,400 saved annually in energy costs.

Washingpool Farm Shop have replaced 3 of their open fronted fridge units with door fronted fridge units with LED interior lighting. This will save them an estimated 61% from their shop refrigeration energy bills.

Harlees Fish and Chips in Verwood replaced one of their fryers with a high efficiency fryer and also installed solar panels on the roof. It is estimated they will save a total of £2,095 per year.

Riversmeet Community Leisure Centre in Gillingham carried out a whole building energy efficiency project including air-source heat pumps, pool ventilation and water control systems, new LED light bulbs and aerating shower heads. It is estimated £48,000 per year will be saved from their energy bills.

Marsham Court Hotel have implemented a recycling scheme which has reduced 3 tonnes of waste going to landfill each month.

Silverlake Dorset which are part of the Habitats First Group have purchased electric buggies for their maintenance and housekeeping teams, plus installed electric car charging points and purchased electric cars for their sales teams.

Eco-friendly business policies

Dorset House Lyme have implemented many changes to the running of their B&B which you can read about on their website. They are a Green Tourism Gold Award winner.

Southern Breeze Lodge in Southbourne have already implemented a Green Policy and have plans to continue to lower their carbon footprint. They are a Green Tourism Silver Award winner.
