Within the Minster Church is the Chained Library whose oldest book dates from the 1300s and is handwritten. The collection includes a book of sermons belonging to Catherine of Aragon. The Library is one of four remaining chained libraries in England and the country’s second largest. Also in the Minster is an astronomical clock showing both the sun and moon circling the earth.
