Spend quality time with your Mum on a day out
If your mum loves flowers, take her for a stroll through one of Dorset's splendid stately parks and gardens to enjoy the spring bloom. At Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens feel your spirits lift as you see the beautiful magnolias, camellias and other spring flowering shrubs. After a climb up the hill to see stunning views of Chesil Beach, enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in the Colonial Restaurant.
Just down the road from the Subtropical Gardens, you'll find Abbotsbury Swannery. Re-opening for the year on Saturday 18th March, Mum's get free entry over the opening weekend.
Athelhampton House and Gardens is a lovely day out, with outstanding topiary pyramids in the walled gardens, an aromatic kitchen garden and riverside boardwalk to explore.
If your mum loves exploring and getting back to nature, catch the ferry from Poole Quay over to Brownsea Island. Enjoy a walk through the woods and you might even see the rare red squirrels who live on the island! Then treat mum to a cream tea in the National Trust café or head back to Poole Quay to join an Afternoon Tea Cruise around the Harbour.
Is your mum an animal lover? Enjoy a wonderful family day out at Farmer Palmer's Farm Park, perfect for Mums with younger children with animal holding and feeding experiences. You can even adopt an animal as a gift and mum's get half price entry on Sunday 19th March.
For something truly f-Abba-ulous, book a ticket for Key West on Bournemouth Pier to see the Abba's Angels tribute show on Saturday 18th March. You can also book a table to enjoy a pre-show dinner or just enjoy the 2-4-1 cocktails all night!
