Not sure of what to do on your visit to Weymouth? Think a beach is all we’ve got? Well think again!! Whether you are looking for family fun, the opportunity to explore or try something new Weymouth has something for everyone.
Of course everyone is aware of Weymouth’s stunning golden sand but not all are aware of some of the mind-blowing structures created using the famous sand. Sandworld in Weymouth welcome some of the best sand sculptures from around the globe to create artist masterpieces the defy logic. With past themes including Best of British and the Olympics it really is something that needs to be seen to be believed!
If getting out and exploring your local surroundings is more your kind of thing then why not take part in a self-guided treasure hunt? Treasure Trails Dorset allows you to explore Weymouth in a fun and imaginative way. Follow the clues around the town on buildings and monuments and discover the location of the missing treasure.

The sheer beauty of the area means there’s an abundance of outdoor activities to get to grips with from walking to cycling to treasure hunting to fishing.
Take in the sights, sounds and beautiful wildlife at one of Weymouth’s RSPB reserve. RSPB Radipole Lake and RSPB Lodmoor offer the chance to get up close and personal with the local wildlife with regular participatory events for young and old to enjoy.
If you’re a keen rambler, a must do is to walk a stretch of the South West Coast Path, where the views across to Portland on a fresh sunny day will astound you.
If you’re more of a stroller, fear not, we have plenty of trails for you whether it’s an amble along the Rodwell Trail or around one of the beautiful RSPB nature reserves.
Cycling is another wonderful way to take in the scenery and cycle routes in Weymouth cover a variety of distances and abilities.
These newly designed trails comprise of three fun, family friendly and largely flat cycle trails of 6, 8.5 and 17 miles, suitable for all ages and abilities.
For the more experienced cyclist, there are longer and more challenging routes available. Feel the burn whilst seeing some of Weymouth’s best sights.
