Shingle and sand beaches ideal for families. Magnificent views of the Isle of Wight and Christchurch Bay. A short walk from the cliff top nature reserve at Steamer Point.
Mostly designated for bathing with a water sports area in front of the concrete wave wall at the eastern end of the beach.
There are outdoor showers.
The beach is reached via sloping tarmac paths at either end. Level access can be gained by accessing the promenade from the beach level car park at Avon Beach and walking eastwards.
Sorry no dogs on beach from 1 May until 30 September inclusive. Dogs to be kept on leads whilst on the promenades between 1 May and 30 September inclusive.
Lifeguard service during July and August.
Horses are not permitted on the seashore between the Saturday preceding Easter Monday and the 30th September (both dates inclusive) in any year between 10am and 9pm.

Bus: Wilts & Dorset X1 and X2 and Yellow Buses run services to and from Mudeford.
