You are here: Things To Do > Boscombe Beach
It goes without saying we love our beaches, and we all have a responsibility to respect our town, our award-winning seafront, gardens and open spaces - so whilst you’re here please respect, protect and enjoy the resort.
If you do visit the beach and it’s too busy, then why not find another quieter area of beach – there’s plenty of seafront to choose from!
#RespectProtectEnjoy
Transformed from a traditional 1950's style resort into an exciting, activity packed stretch of award-winning seafront, Boscombe's gently shelving Blue Flag beach provides a perfect family playground.
With climbing boulders, slacklining, table tennis and volleyball on hand plus equipment available to hire, challenge the family to a tournament with one of the many beach activities on offer. RNLI Lifeguards from May to September mean water-based adventure awaits. Explore the waves with friendly expert tuition from one of the local surf schools and pick up a new skill or hobby that will get you out on the water. Free to enter, the iconic Boscombe Pier offers fabulous views across Poole Bay with plenty of traditional fun including eco-friendly mini golf and kiosks for a welcome snack. The pier is also a great location for fishing, just pick up a permit from Boscombe Beach Office.
Boscombe Beach is easy to reach, just take the Land Train (Currently not operatin until further notice) or walk along the promenade from Bournemouth Pier. Alternatively there is popular beachside car parking at Undercliff Drive or the small visitors car park near Boscombe Pier. (Currently closed until further notice)
Away from the hustle and bustle, visitors can relax on the sands that stretch over 1km either side of Boscombe Pier. Set up your base with sunbeds, deck chairs, parasols and windbreaks which are all available for hire - simply help yourself and an attendant will collect the hire charge once you're settled. For a beach base with some extra comfort, try a unique Beach Pod. Only available at Boscombe, Beach Pod's offer some luxury with a stylish home-from-home packed with mod-cons including electricity, an equipped kichenette, seating and a balcony with your own perfect view.
Boscombe Beach is the place to find a new hobby, join a group sports session, hire equipment, courts and classrooms or just enjoy the stunning surroundings.as you relax, rejuvinate and have some fun.
Boscombe Beach Office is located on the ground floor of the Overstrand building and is open between the hours of 09:00-1700 daily from Easter to the end of October.
