Athelhampton House and Gardens is now open for pre-booked ticket entry. Their restaurant has now re-opened.
There are a maximum of 10 Online Tickets & 10 Historic House Member admissions available per hour. Each person with an online ticket may bring a child aged 14 years or under free of charge. The number of persons on-site is limited to a maximum of 75, based on an average visit of 2½ hours.
The Special Garden Admission ticket includes a voucher for discounted admission for when they are open fully.
Athelhampton is one of the finest 15th Century manor-houses and is surrounded by one of the great architectural gardens of England.
The house contains many finely furnished rooms including The Great Hall, Great Chamber, wine cellar. The Gallery in the west wing exhibits works by the Russian artist Marevna who lived at the house in the 1940s/50s.
The Grade I Listed garden, dating from c1891, is full of vistas and gains much from the fountains and River Piddle flowing through. The walled gardens include the world- famous topiary pyramids and collections of tulips, roses, magnolias, clematis and lilies. Also 15th Century dovecote and boardwalk along the banks of the River Piddle.
