Langham Wine Estate

Vineyards are generally associated with warmer areas of the world, such as Spain or France. However, England boasts an array of beautiful vineyards that produce award-winning wines, and Dorset has some of the best.

One vineyard in the region which is well worth a visit is Langham Wine Estate. This south-facing vineyard has a unique microclimate, providing the perfect environment for ripening classic Champagne varieties, such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. On a visit, sample some of their award-winning wines, followed by a delicious bite to eat at the Vineyard Café.

Pirate Adventure Golf

Not only is mini golf a fantastic family activity, it also makes for a great date-day too! Pirate Adventure Golf is located in Weymouth, next to SEA LIFE Adventure Park, and is a really fun course with obstacles such as treasure chests, cannons and pirate ships to navigate around. If you’re a competitive couple, then you’ll absolutely love this activity!

Once you’ve putted your way through the course, why not head into the Weymouth SEA LIFE Adventure Park? From sting rays and turtles to seals and penguins, there’s an amazing underwater world to discover.

Corfe Castle

No couple’s getaway is complete without visiting a historic attraction, and Corfe Castle is undoubtedly one of the best in Dorset. As soon as you enter the village, which is also called Corfe Castle, you’ll see the ruins sitting proudly at the top of the hill.

This magnificent fortress was partly demolished in 1646, and the ruins that stand today are probably some of the most iconic ruins from the English Civil War. On a visit, discover 1,000 years of history through tales of treachery and treason.

Durdle Door

One of Dorset’s most popular sights is Durdle Door, and it’s easy to see why. This impressive natural limestone archway has eroded over time and is now one of the region’s most photographed landmarks – perfect for a couple’s selfie!

A top tip is to arrive early to avoid the crowds, then take a peaceful stroll down to the archway to get the best views. Once you’ve admired the wonder of Durdle Door, head down to Man O’War Beach, just a few minutes walk away. This beautiful bay has rugged rocks with a pebble and sand beach and is a more tranquil spot compared to its famous neighbour.

Boat Trips and Water Sports

You can’t visit Dorset and not get out on the water! The Jurassic Coast is beautiful, and it’s even more stunning from the sea. There are many boat tours available in Dorset, where you can sail down the coastline and learn all about its fascinating past.

If you’re an adrenaline fuelled couple, then try your hand at kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding or even wind surfing. There’s something for everyone in Dorset!
