1. Step into a Woodland Winter Ball at Kingston Lacy

From 22 November, Kingston Lacy near Wimborne transforms into a sparkling celebration of the season.

Wander through the gardens dressed for a woodland winter ball, and step inside the house to discover elegant decorations, festive storytelling, and a magical atmosphere that’s perfect for all ages. Don’t forget to visit the shop for beautiful gifts and seasonal treats.

2. Toast Marshmallows Among the Ruins at Corfe Castle

From 5 December, Corfe Castle’s ancient walls come alive with festive spirit.

Gather around firepits to toast marshmallows, explore twinkling scenes hidden among the ruins, and enjoy family-friendly crafts and storytelling.

As the sun sets, the castle glows with lights and lanterns - ideal for a magical evening adventure.

3. Celebrate the Solstice by the Sea at Studland Bay

Wrap up warm and head to Studland Bay for a bracing beach walk or a peaceful moment at sunrise.

Join the Winter Solstice walk to Old Harry Rocks or take part in the Studland Stampede 10k for a festive fitness challenge. Afterwards, warm up with a hot drink and soak in the coastal views.

4. See Stourhead Sparkle with Christmas Lights

Just over the Dorset border, Stourhead’s world-famous landscape garden becomes a glittering wonderland from 28 November. Follow the illuminated trail through tunnels of light, glowing trees, and shimmering reflections on the lake. With festive food stalls and warming drinks along the way, it’s a dazzling evening out for all ages.
