There are 3 dreamy treehouses to choose from at Mallinson’s Woodland Retreat, each with their own private hot tub. Perfect for romantic escapes away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, this is an adult only retreat.

These treehouses most definitely put the glam into glamping, with copper bath tubs, Nespresso coffee machines and Dyson hair dryers. They also have hammocks, wood fired pizza ovens, fire pits and wood burning stoves. One of them even has a slide from the upper deck down to the woodland floor!

Featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, the Retreat is located in a remote part of western Dorset, close to the border with Somerset.

Loose Reins

There are two Shepherd’s Huts to choose from at Dorset Forest Garden Glamping. The Astronomer is the best for shutting out the digital world as it doesn’t have WiFi and instead of watching the telly, you can listen to the radio or just gaze at the rolling hills in the distance.

As the name suggests, Astronomer is perfect for stargazing, with a panoramic window over the king size bed. It also has a woodfired hot tub, sunloungers and BBQ, plus a woodburner for those colder nights.

For those of you who are seeking an eco-escape, there's Electric Vehicle charging on site, as well as local produce that you can pre-order ready for your arrival. They even have their own branded cocktails which are delicious!

Seaside Boarding House

Each of the Seaside Boarding House’s 9 bedrooms are within sight and sound of the sea. Located overlooking Hive Beach at Burton Bradstock, this is a go-to destination for relaxing on the world-famous Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

There are no televisions in the bedrooms – instead you’ll find a radio and a pile of good books, with more to choose from the library downstairs.

The Greenhouse Holiday Retreat

The Greenhouse is a Christian holiday and retreat venue located between Poole and Bournemouth.

They have 22 bedrooms, most of which are ensuite and several are on the ground floor with access into the garden. The bedrooms do not have TV’s, but there is a communal lounge with TV, as well as a games cupboard and art materials which you are welcome to use.

Outside in the garden there is a summerhouse with badminton and croquet for you to play with. The added bonus here is the outdoor swimming pool which is usually open from May until September.

Stock Gaylard Glamping

Wanting somewhere to slow down and unwind? Why not choose to book one (or more) of the sites at Stock Gaylard Glamping. The Stock Gaylard estate is approximately 1800 acres with large expanses of woodland and an enclosed deer park with a small lake.

Sleeping between 2 and 15 people, the glamping sites are perfect for romantic escapes, as well as large family gatherings or group get-togethers.

There are four sites to choose from:

Site 1 - Sawpits Wagon | Sleeps 2. The Wagon is located in a quiet part of the estate, and inside there’s a double bed, cooking area and seating. Outside you'll find a deck to enjoy the sunset from, as well as a private hot shower, wood fired hot tub and famous loo with a view! 

Site 2 - Parsons Camp | Sleeps 12. A double-decker bus acts as the sleeping space for 4 people with a living area, kitchen and open topped dining room. 8 Guests stay in the bunkhouse and bell tent, and there’s also a private loo, 2 gas showers and a horse box bathroom complete with woodfired bath.

Site 3 - Brickles Camp | Sleeps 12. There are 3 yurts are for sleeping and another yurt with large living area and a gas hob and heater. Outside is a large decking area with a covered kitchen, as well as a flushing loo, gas shower and a woodfired bath.

Site 4 - Withybed Camp | Sleeps 15. There are 3 sleeping yurts, a large living yurt, a kitchen area, shower, woodfired open air bath and loo. There’s a campfire too for cooking or enjoying a good old sing-along!
