The best way to hunt for fossils is on a guided fossil walk which are run by both the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre and Lyme Regis Museum.

Join the West Dorset Forager on a shoreline safari experience to discover this incredible tidal zone and the wonderful creatures lurking in the pools and crevices of Monmouth Beach. The session is organised by Lyme Regis Museum and entry to the Museum is included in the price – a great value family day out!

Walk the South West Coast Path

The South West Coast Path offers breathtaking views of the sea and countryside, with wildflowers blooming along the trails. Walk from Lyme Regis towards Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast, for incredible panoramic views.

Enjoy a blast along the coast or gentle coastal cruise with Lyme Bay RIB Charter or have a go at deep sea fishing on one of the fishing boat trips.

If you fancy an invigorating swim, then Lyme Bay swimming is for you! If you are a family, group of friends, or club and would like to swim parts of the Jurassic Coast they offer various supported adventure swims, swim safaris and coastal swimming options.
