The Lyme Regis Museum is a must for any budding palaeontologist. Here you’ll find plenty of fossils, as well as exhibits on local history, famous writers and of course Lyme Regis’ famous fossil hunter Mary Anning. The museum is built on the site of the former home of Mary Anning and there is even a Mary Anning wing. Located on the seafront, Lyme Regis Museum also has fantastic views over Lyme Bay.

If you’re looking for an attraction to keep the whole family entertained the Town Mill is a unique mix of working mill, art galleries and artisan businesses – there is a lot to see. The mill was rescued from demolition by the residents of Lyme Regis and opened to the public after a 10-year restoration project. Visitors can join a tour of the mill, run by volunteer millers. It’s a great way to see this ancient mill in action, which has been delivering flour to the local community since 1340!
Get up close to some of the local marine life at Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium. Located at the end of the Cobb, the Marine Aquarium is a great place to learn and discover what lies beneath the waves on the British coast.
