Swanage Information Centre

Swanage Information Centre is located on the seafront at Shore Road. 

During the summer, the Centre is open 7 days a week from 10am until 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 9am until 4:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. During winter, it is closed on Sundays. 

The friendly Visitor Services Team are very knowledgeable about the area and will be able to help you plan your visit to Swanage.

Swanage leaflets and brochures 

The Centre has a large stock of leaflets, guides, brochures, maps and books about the local area. 

You will be able to buy walking, cycling and history trails as well as postcards and souvenirs too. The Centre also stocks bus, train and boat timetables. 

If you want to know about which events and festivals are taking place during your visit, just ask and one of the team will be able to give you a printed copy of their Events Guide. 

Some of the leaflets and information is available via email to help you plan your visit in advance. 

Accommodation booking 

If you need help finding accommodation in Swanage, the team will be able to assist you either in person, by phone or email. 

Information sheets including lists of hotels, B&Bs, camping and caravanning sites as well as self-catering accommodation are available to help you choose where to stay. 

Booking a Swanage beach hut 

There are numerous beach huts along the seafront in Swanage which are available to hire all year round for the day or week. 

There are 45 beach huts located on Shore Road which are accessible to wheelchairs with just a small number accessed via steps. 

The Spa and Spa Retreat beach huts are located further long the seafront in more secluded locations. These beach huts can only be accessed via steps.

Excursions, boat trips and days out from Swanage

The area surrounding Swanage is filled with beautiful scenery, breathtaking views and quaint villages to explore. 

The Centre staff will be happy to provide you with information to help plan your days out and make the most of your time in Dorset. They can also book local boat trips and National Express coaches for you.
