Sherborne Abbey at Easter

Sherborne is steeped in history, with its most iconic landmark being Sherborne Abbey – often referred to at the ‘Cathedral of Dorset’. This magnificent building dates back to the 8th century, and is a masterpiece of medieval architecture.
Free guided tours are available and for younger visitors, there are Abbey Trails to complete as they go around the building.
During Easter, the Abbey hosts special services for Holy Week, this includes services on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday.

Quentin Blake exhibitions at The Sherborne

Until 12 April, you can see the new Quentin Blake exhibitions - Airborne Over Sherborne and 100 Portraits - in the Georgian Room Galleries at The Sherborne.
Airborne Over Sherborne is filled with drawings where bodies (and imaginations) leave the ground: birds, contraptions, and impossible inventions that somehow feel completely believable. Alongside it, 100 Portraits offers a rare chance to meet Quentin Blake’s characters discovered through the act of drawing.
Entry to The Sherborne and the exhibitions is free, but a donation is welcome.
