The Jazz festivals in Swanage and Lyme Regis have some excellent sessions featuring bands from across most of the spectrum of jazz, from New Orleans to contemporary sounds, with lots of leading names as well as new faces.
What better than to spend a weekend on the coast, listening to your favourite melodies played by some of the country’s best talent and soaking up the atmosphere and entertainment?
Christchurch is the place to be for summer music festivals.
The Christchurch Music & Dance Festival takes place on the Quay on the first weekend in July and promises its audience a family fun day of entertainment with live bands playing throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, the bands are accompanied by a variety of dance troupes delighting the crowds with their colourful routines.
In August, the famous Quomps come alive with Christchurch’s annual smooth jazz festival – Stompin’ on the Quomps, a wealth of musicality, love and energy to get your heart pounding, your hands clapping, your body moving and your feet stompin’, Stompin’!
Camp Bestival's live music selection covers all bases from rock to pop and way beyond, with brilliant and diverse headliners each year.
Past line ups have included Jess Glynne, Fatboy Slim, Calvin Harris and Blondie plus the very best in new music and lots of sing-along favourites too.
Whether you're young or just young at heart, there's a live act that will get you jumping, so we'll see you down the front!
