Take the A351 from Wareham (11 miles), or come across the Sandbanks-Studland ferry from Bournemouth (10 miles) to Swanage. From Swanage follow the brown tourist signs up the hill. 

Park in our pay and display car park.

Public Transport Directions

From the west: the nearest mainline train station is Wareham (on the London Waterloo to Weymouth line). Catch the number 40 Wilts and Dorset bus from Wareham Station to Swanage Bus/Train Station (this bus route starts in Poole). Switch onto the Durlston Explorer bus to the Country Park (the bus runs from 26 May until 30 September). From the east: Catch the train to Bournemouth then switch to the Wilts and Dorset bus number 50 to Swanage Bus/Train Station. Switch onto the Durlston Explorer bus to the Country Park (the bus runs from 26 May until 30 September). To plan your journey by public transport contact Traveline on 0871 200 2233 or visit their website: www.travelinesw.com to look up bus timetables. At times when the Swanage Railway is running: Travel on Wilts and Dorset bus number 40 (Poole - Swanage) to Norden Station (Norden Farm stop) or Corfe Castle Station (East Street stop) then catch the steam train to Swanage.
