You are here: Visitor Information > Travel Information > Norden Railway Station
Norden Railway Station is situated to the north of Corfe Castle, directly adjacent and accessible from the main A351 road before you reach Corfe Castle village. Just follow the clearly marked brown tourism signs to Norden Car Park, where there is space for 350 cars. You can park all day long (charges apply). The local buses run to Norden Car Park (during the summer) making it a well-connected transport hub to start your journey discovering the many things the Isle of Purbeck has to offer.
Next to the Station you can explore the industrial past of Purbeck by visiting the award winning Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum. Experience the sights and smells as you and your family venture underground, experiencing Victorian life as a ball-clay miner. Marvel at the narrow gauge railways, once common in this area, which transported the ball-clay to sidings connected to the Swanage branch before being made into a wide variety of household products.
There is a well stocked refreshment facility on the station platform and picnic areas, as well as male, female and accessible toilets, plus baby changing facilities in the Car Park.
Catch a Swanage Railway train from here to Corfe Castle, Harman’s Cross, Herston Halt or Swanage.
