A small woodland on the edge of Upton (opposite Upton Country Park).
The Wood includes footpaths, cyclepaths and Woodland Trail, also running streams, open glades and seats to sit and rest a while.

FROM THE WEST: take the A35 towards Poole and follow the brown tourist signs for Upton Country Park (turn left off the A35 onto a slip-road). Pass the entrance to the Country Park (on your left) and at the junction turn left towards Upton Town Centre. Take the first turning on your right into Pony Drive. The Wood entrance is on your right.
FROM THE EAST: Follow the A35 towards Dorchester and Blandford. After the Holes Bay North roundabout on the outskirts of Poole (boat on the roundabout) take the next slip-road exit following signs for Upton Country Park. At the roundabout turn right under the flyover and left towards Upton Town Centre. Follow the road around to the right and take the first right into Pony Drive. The Wood entrance is on your right.
BY BUS: There is a bus stop adjacent to the Wood called 'Upton Country Park stop'. Bus numbers 8, 9, 10 and 40 all call at this stop.
BY TRAIN: The nearest railway station is at Hamworthy - 2 miles away. There is no bus connection from Hamworthy Railway Station, however you could catch a train to Poole Railway Station and transfer to the number 40 bus which stops across the main road from the station.
