About
Wimborne Market and Antiques Bazaar
No holiday to Dorset is complete without a visit to Wimborne's famous market!
The historic town has long been recognised for its market which, over the years, has had a big influence on the growth and prosperity of the town and adjoining countryside.
Since it was founded by Thomas Ensor in about 1860, Wimborne Market has grown to become one of the largest and most famous open and covered markets in the south of England. The indoor market and antiques bazaar extends to approximately 35,000 square feet and accommodates over 200 mixed traders and car booters. In total, the massive market site extends to approximately 5 acres and includes a large multi-storey car park.
The Friday market opens from 7am until 2:30pm and includes both outside and indoor stall markets. The weekly farmers market and large antiques bazaar attracts traders and buyers from all over the country.
The Saturday flea market and undercover car boot sale is full of interest and bargains, and is run every Saturday alongside the general outside market, the indoor stalls and the antiques bazaar. The market gates open at 7:30am and close at 2pm on Saturdays.
On Sundays the large general market combines with the outside market, car boot, indoor stalls and the antiques bazaar, and trades from 9am to 2:30pm.
Market prices are always competitive and Wimborne Market has a magic character which is unique and will not be found in supermarkets or online. So come and join us and get all the real bargains at Wimborne Market.
