About

*Home delivery or collection* - The Salt Pig is an urban farm shop in Wareham, with an in-house butchery and fishmongers, as well as a deli.

All the meat is Purbeck meat and is sourced within a 7 mile radius of the shop – including White Park beef from Norden, lamb from Steepleleaze (near Kimmeridge), Purbeck Venison and The Salt Pig’s own Mangalista & Berkshire rare breed pork. Our pigs are kept on RSPB land as part of a heathland renewal scheme. The fish, lobster & crab all come in direct from local fisherman’s day boats. You really can’t get more local.

All the food, including a range of delicious cakes, are cooked from scratch by the chefs using the produce sold in the shop. We also have a range of ready meals for sale, as well as local wines, ales, ciders & spirits.

At the moment The Salt Pig cafe is closed for eating in, but you are able to collect and take away the same tasty home-made meals that are normally on offer.

The Salt Pig also offers a wide range of rustic & bespoke outside catering – whether for corporate or private, including weddings, parties or smaller dinner parties & functions. Email us to discuss the options.

What a fabulous lunch! We were lucky to walk in and get a table after a short wait. The home cooked in first class. Might need to come back to Wareham just so we can eat here again. Read full review
