Arne is celebrated for its lowland heathland (which is rare in Europe) and its wildlife including Dartford warblers, nightjars, all six species of British reptile, plus many species of butterflies, dragonflies, and moths. It is also home to nearly 500 types of flowering plant.
The Visitor Information Centre gives you everything you need for a great day out on the reserve. Nest cameras have been installed with images shown in the Centre which can be seen during the breeding season.
The Cafe and Gift Shop is a great place for lunch or to pick up a picnic and head out for the day.
