With stress related malaise on the rise and a strong desire for connection with the outdoors, Dorset House have been putting their passion for wellbeing to practical use with a series of Wellness Breaks.

We aim to nurture our guests so that they leave us feeling better than when they arrived, pulling together the best teachers in the fields of yoga, nutrition, sports and psychology.

A typical break includes uplifting and relaxing yoga classes, a carefully selected menu of delicious dishes, workshop on fermenting or nutritious cookery (for instance increasing Gut Health).

Guests are taken on guided walks along our beautiful coastline and even maybe even coaxed into Wild Swimming at sunrise.

All breaks are all inclusive in our award winning accommodation and prices start from £330.

Running Break
17th - 19th Jan & 15th - 17th May

Are you out of practice and need a motivational boost to get back into running?

Maybe you have signed up to an event and don’t know where to start with training?

Or perhaps you just fancy an active, fun weekend where you will be well looked after in lovely surroundings?

Our two night running break is aimed at improver runners who wish to enhance their technique in order to better enjoy their running.

Joe Allen, running coach and para olympic athlete will lead runs through our beautiful countryside, use video to analyse technique and work through improvements as well as technical and strength sessions.

Food is locally sourced and lovingly home prepared with an eye on positive health. 

Expect to leave more motivated, fitter and with tips to maintain your improved technique.

Gluten Free Yoga Break
25th - 27th Feb & 24th - 26th Nov

Our two – night gluten free yoga break is a chance for you to escape from the world, focus on creating healthy habits and relax deeply in the company of like-minded people.

Your morning yoga class with British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Sam Neal will focus on building energy to enjoy the day whilst evening yoga classes will bring a sense of relaxation to ensure restful sleep.

Naomi Devlin, author of the River Cottage Gluten Free cookery book will create delicious gluten free menus and share her tips and tricks for gluten free cookery.

You’ll leave feeling like a brand new person!

Gut Health Yoga Break
17th - 20th March

On this weekend wellness break focused on gut health, you'll practice yoga and meditation twice a day. Your teacher Sam will gently guide you through positive and joyous classes with an aim to work towards being the best version of yourself.

You’ll eat from delicious gut friendly menus, devised by Naomi Devlin, author of The Happy Gut Cookery book and you will learn about the central role that your gut plays in your overall wellbeing.

Here at Dorset House, we believe that treating yourself well is important. Our award winning accommodation offers luxurious bedding and stylish surroundings and the break also offers you the opportunity to join a guided clifftop walk in the stunning and inspiring countryside around Lyme Regis.

Tennis Break (NEW for 2020)
3rd - 5th June

This two night tennis break suitable for all ages will give you the chance to improve your technique and motivation in a friendly and fun environment.

Technical sessions and video analysis will be combined with matchplay to ensure that your new found skills are put into practice by your highly qualified tennis coach, Jason.

We are fortunate to have a newly refurbished court within walking distance and will play matches with locals from the tennis club a couple of miles down the coast. For those that fancy it, we will even lead sunrise sea swims (or you could benefit from a lie in if you prefer!)

Our group size is kept small (maximum ten people) to ensure plenty of quality coaching time. Food is home cooked in our vintage Aga and is seasonal and nutritious  – and of course delicious. Great meals are a feature of any stay at Dorset House!

Expect to leave relaxed and rejuvenated with an action plan to improve your game!

Vegan Yoga Break
20th - 23rd Oct

Relax with yoga, time outdoors and vegan cookery on this special vegan yoga break at Dorset House.

You’ll enjoy light healthy vegan lunches, a vegan dinner each evening, yoga classes, workshops, a nutrition demonstration and talk and large helpings of fresh, salty sea air!
