February is the month of love and if you’re planning on showering your affections this year, Visit Dorset have compiled a few ideas for the best Valentine’s Day dates.

1. Walk hand in hand through the snowdrops

Walk through the Kingston Lacy gardens at this time of year and you will find carpets of brilliant white. The magical snowdrop walk stretches through the estate’s 40-acre garden for one and a half miles.

Stroll romantically through the impressive gardens feeling the crisp February air on your cheeks and the crunch of frosty leaves underfoot before cosying up together with a coffee in the café.

2. Painting & Prosecco

Enjoy pink bubbles and chocolates as you create your very own artistic masterpiece in this guided art session held at Leweston School, Sherborne.

All materials are provided and no experience is necessary, just bring along your date and be prepared to paint. Who knows, a new love affair may develop?!

3. Introduction to Perfume and Botanical Extracts at Keyneston Mill

This half-day session will give you a fascinating introduction to the creation of perfume ingredients and methods of distillation at Keyneston Mill.

You will come away understanding more about fragrance families, the structure of fragrance, how perfumes are constructed, and how we create our fine fragrances at Parterre, from seed to bottle. Be prepared to sniff!

4. Valentine’s Day Getaway at The Ollerod

You and your partner will be whisked into a world of luxurious comforts while you enjoy true Dorset hospitality at its best.

Stay at The Ollerod for a night and enjoy a complimentary bottle of bubbly in your room before taking advantage of their carefully-prepared, romance-inspired, 4 course Valentine’s menu. You’ll be welcomed to your evening with a glass of fizz and some of the most beautifully created canapés to whet your appetite.

In the morning, be treated with the sought-after Ollerod Breakfast, comprised of a wide selection of homemade smoothies, crunchy granola, fresh pastries, fruit and a hearty cooked breakfast too, if it takes your fancy. You’ll be truly spoilt.

5. Hampers n Champers at Studland Bay

This Valentine’s day, why not try something different with a more natural and outdoor take on the traditional Valentine’s meal?

Enjoy a spectacular picnic hamper, a bottle of champagne and a roaring outdoor fire at the beautiful Studland Bay.

6. Love Adventure and Love Cake

Create a memory of an awesome Coasteering adventure experience together with Cumulus Outdoors and then indulge yourselves with a romantic Cream Tea at Love Cake!
