Welcome to Upwey Wishing Well, Water Gardens and Tea Rooms in Upwey, Weymouth!
We are open daily serving freshly ground coffee, light bites, lunches and afternoon tea. We offer a daily specials board and are fully licensed. We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and all of our delicious cakes are baked on the premises daily.
Our tranquil gardens are honestly something else! The Wishing Well at Upwey is a natural spring and source of the River Wey. The tradition as a wishing well is said to have begun as a visitor attraction in the early 20th century. Visitors would often participate in the ritual by taking a few sips of well water from a glass and throwing the rest of the water backwards over their left shoulder whilst making a wish.
We invite you to visit our tearoom and beautiful ornamental gardens. Whether you are looking for a light bite for lunch, a three-course meal, or a deliciously English high tea, your day out wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Upwey Wishing Well and Tearooms.
The Upwey Wishing Well High Tea is full of English tradition, a cake stand brimming with traditional finger sandwiches, delicious cake and fresh scones, giving you a quintessentially English treat you won't forget.
With a large dining area, and our beautiful sub tropical water gardens and the Wishing Well its self the Upwey Wishing Well, Water Gardens and Tearooms is the perfect venue for a range of special occasions. We can host any event you need, Weddings, Wakes, Birthday Parties, Baby Showers and so much more!
