You are here: Food & Drink > Thyme After Time Cafe & Catering
The cafe has now re-opened for normal service.
Thyme After Time are normally a cafe, however from the first week of lockdown they overhauled their business overnight and started creating tasty, locally sourced ready meals which they have been delivering out to those folk shielding from covid.
During this time their essentials list expanded to meet with demand where there was a shortfall of supplies such as flour, eggs etc. There is also a collection service available from outside our cafe with safe distancing in place for all.
Over the weeks since lockdown, their weekly changing meal menu has meant that more and more local people have heard about them and choosing to buy food from them because they source from other local businesses for their ingredients which gives their meals a real provenance and of course much healthier than long life, off the shelf supermarket meals.
Their range has increased to luxury boxes containing posh afternoon teas, cream teas, seafood platters, posh picnics, barby boxes, cake boxes and so much more.
On Saturday evenings they offer a global menu with hot dishes styled from around the world - British, American, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Indian and more, these have proved a real success with folk collecting their hot ready meals that have been phoned through and paid for in advance. On top of that again on Fridays and Saturdays, they offer hot boxed breakfasts of all kinds. Simply ring through and pay for your order, choose your time of collection and they will have it ready for you.
Their proper coffee using locally roasted beans is available for takeout Monday to Fridays 8am-12 noon.
They have been truly humbled by the local support they have received and the love surrounding their cafe with customers wanting to support them all the way through and indeed they still are!
For Ready Meals, there is free delivery to Stalbridge. £3.00 to Milborne Port, Marnhull, Okeford Fitzpaine, Henstridge, Sturminster Newton, Hazelbury Bryan and £6.00 to Sherborne, East Stour, Buckland Newton, Mappowder, Todber.
