Come and stay at Spurwing, a comfortable B&B which is situated within easy walking distance of the old historic town of Wareham.
An ideal base for walking, cycling and exploring the beautiful scenery along Dorset’s Jurassic Coast or relaxing and enjoying everything that the Isle of Purbeck has to offer – including the world famous Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum.
We welcome families, couples or people travelling on their own whether for business or pleasure and invite you to enjoy our large garden and patio areas.
We can cater for your needs and serve a home cooked breakfast in the breakfast room which overlooks the garden.
Choose your accommodation in either one of our double or twin bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms or stay in the large double/family bedroom which can accommodate a family of four and is equipped with its own private shower room.
Gowns and slippers provided, tea & coffee making facilities and television in all rooms.
Free and off-road parking is available on our driveway.
Are you travelling without a car? Spurwing is your perfect choice as we are situated within walking distance of the train and bus station.

Wareham is a popular choice for visitors throughout the seasons, this historic town is surrounded by Saxon walls and has two pretty rivers and enjoyable riverside walks. The Saturday market is bustling and the range of local independent shops, pubs and restaurants offer a great choice if you are staying for more than one night.
Nearby are countryside walks and cycle routes. The coast and beaches are approximately 20 minutes’ drive or by bus from Spurwing.

Take the A351 through Sandford. At the 'Welcome to Wareham and Jurassic Coast' sign turn left. Spurwing is 200 metres on the right hand side.
Directions by road to Wareham
From Bournemouth/Poole, via ferry (01929 450203 www.sandbanksferry.co.uk): From the Ferry take the B3351 through Studland Village. Carry on until junction with A351 at Corfe Castle. Turn right, onto A351,signposted Wareham.
From Bournemouth/Poole via road: Take the A35 to Bakers Arms roundabout. Take 1st exit onto A351, signposted Wareham. From Swanage: Take the A351 signposted Corfe Castle and Wareham. At Worgret roundabout take 3rd exit, signposted Wareham (Worgret Road). From Dorchester: Take the A352 signposted Wareham. At Worgret roundabout continue straight over signposted Wareham (Worgret Road). From Weymouth: Take the A353 signposted Wareham. At Warmwell roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A352, signposted Wareham. At Worgret roundabout continue straight over signposted Wareham (Worgret Road).
From Wareham Railway Station: Come out of the station, cross the railway line at the pedestrian walkway, turn right at the road, Spurwing Guest House is situated 200 yards on the left.
To Wareham:
By Bus: From Bournemouth take the M1 or M2 to Poole, then transfer to number 40 or X54. From Poole take the number 40 or X54. From Swanage take the number 30 or 40. From West Lulworth take the 30 or X54. From Weymouth take the number 30 or X54.
By Train: Wareham Railway Station (on the London Waterloo to Weymouth line) is found less than a mile from the Town Centre. You can catch bus number 40 or X54 from the Railway Station to the Town Centre.
