About

Come and stay at Spurwing, a comfortable B&B which is situated within easy walking distance of the old historic town of Wareham.

An ideal base for walking, cycling and exploring the beautiful scenery along Dorset’s Jurassic Coast or relaxing and enjoying everything that the Isle of Purbeck has to offer – including the world famous Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum.

We welcome families, couples or people travelling on their own whether for business or pleasure and invite you to enjoy our large garden and patio areas.

We can cater for your needs and serve a home cooked breakfast in the breakfast room which overlooks the garden.

Choose your accommodation in either one of our double or twin bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms or stay in the large double/family bedroom which can accommodate a family of four and is equipped with its own private shower room.

Gowns and slippers provided, tea & coffee making facilities and television in all rooms.

Free and off-road parking is available on our driveway.

Are you travelling without a car? Spurwing is your perfect choice as we are situated within walking distance of the train and bus station.

There are lots of fantastic events to choose from all year round, take a look at What’s On in Dorset to help you plan your visit.

Let us help you plan your activities, ask about golf clubs, horse riding, award winning bus routes, beaches, arts and crafts, activities, local swimming pools, fitness classes and gyms.

Wareham is a popular choice for visitors throughout the seasons, this historic town is surrounded by Saxon walls and has two pretty rivers and enjoyable riverside walks.  The Saturday market is bustling and the range of local independent shops, pubs and restaurants offer a great choice if you are staying for more than one night.

Nearby are countryside walks and cycle routes. The coast and beaches are approximately 20 minutes’ drive or by bus from Spurwing.

We look forward to welcoming you.
