You are here: Accommodation > Moonfleet Manor Hotel
Moonfleet is a great big, friendly 30 bedroom Georgian Manor House & Spa, built a couple of hundred years ago for Maximillion Mohune (the Mohunes of Fleet became Moonfleet).
Sitting just behind Chesil Bank, with the Fleet Lagoon in between, this is a spectacular and magical location. The sense of light and tranquillity is truly special.
Steeped in smuggling history, the House formed the backdrop for J. Mead Faulkner's swashbuckling novel of the same name, where the books hero, John Trenchard, discovered Blackbeard's diamonds and escaped the clutches of those nasty Revenue men!
But it's not all about history at Moonfleet Manor, they are also looking to the future with their electric vehicle charging points. So if you are travelling to Dorset in your electric car, this is a great place to stay to recharge your batteries!
