About

Located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, The Grand Hotel has stunning views across the bay and has direct access from the gardens to the private beach.

The Burlington Health Spa and Fitness Club, offers heated indoor pool, spa bath, sauna and extensive gymnasium, together with a range of therapies on offer to suit all.

The Coast Restaurant (fully air-conditioned) and Conservatory offers innovative cuisine with wonderful views across the bay. 30 En-suite bedrooms with lift service to all floors. The lift is available during the opening hours of the gym situated on the Lower Ground floor. For our guests that are unable to use the stairs Reception will be able to unlock the lift and escort you through the Leisure Centre and give you access to the gardens.

Groups & exclusive use of hotel are welcome. The Hotel is the perfect place for weddings & conferences.

The panoramic views of the Bay can not only be enjoyed from the Coast Restaurant but all of the public areas.

From Poole/Bournemouth, via Sandbanks Ferry – 01929 450203. www.sandbanksferry.co.uk. From Ferry take the B3351 through Studland Village. After approx. ½ mile, turn left onto the Ulwell Road, signpost Swanage.

From Bournemouth/Poole – A35 to Bakers Arms roundabout. Take 1st exit onto A351, signpost Wareham. Follow signs for Corfe Castle and Swanage.

From Dorchester – A352 signpost Wareham. At Worgret roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A351, signpost Corfe Castle and Swanage.

From Weymouth – A353 signpost Wareham. At Warmwell roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A352, signpost Wareham. At Worgret roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A351, signpost Corfe Castle and Swanage.

Public Transport Directions

From the west: the nearest mainline railway station is Wareham (on the London Waterloo to Weymouth line). Catch the number 40 or bus from Wareham Railway Station to Swanage Bus/Railway Station. At times when the Swanage Railway is running: Travel on the number 40 bus to Corfe Castle (East Street stop) then catch the steam train from Corfe Castle Station to Swanage. From the east: Catch the train to Bournemouth Railway Station then transfer to the number 50 bus to Swanage Bus/Railway Station.
