You are here: Accommodation > Cogden Cottages
The Cogden cottages are situated in the very pretty County of Dorset in the southwest of England. They are just outside the picture post card village of Burton Bradstock. The cottages lay between the coast road and the sea. This former Coastguard Station has outstanding views of the world heritage coast. Looking west you can see most of South Devon's coastline and to the east you can look along the famous Chesil Beach towards Portland Bill.
The village offers two public houses (one being thatched), a general store (1 mile) and post office. There also is the Hive Beach Cafe, which is a short walk through the National Trust land adjoining the holiday Park
We are just four miles from the historic market town of Bridport, which has all the usual facilities including plenty of places to eat and drink, shopping and supermarkets, a street market (held on Wednesdays and Saturdays), a leisure centre and arts centre where there are regular performances and exhibitions.
If you travel west to Charmouth or Lyme Regis you can discover and explore the famous fossil beaches. Or you can just enjoy our wonderful coastal walks and the beautiful Bride valley.
The Cottages are well situated to take advantage of the many places of interest. From Sea life centre at Weymouth, to Crealy adventure Park. The Craft and design centre at Broadwindsor or the pre roman earth works at Dorchester. To name just a few.
The Cottages are finished to a high standard and are very well equipped with gas central heating and double-glazing. They have 20in colour television with teletext, video, dishwasher, washing dryer, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, and iron. Also included is your' gas and electricity towels and bed linen. We also have available for rent a play station and games. Only a few yards away are the cottage's private car Park. We also are lucky to have a bus stop at the Holiday park's entrance.
There are seven cottages in total:
One has three bedrooms (2 double beds and one set of bunks) and a bed settee and has two WC's sleeping 6/8.
Four have two bedrooms (2 double beds) and a bed settee, bathroom, sleeping 4/6.
One, which is wheelchair accessible with 2 bedrooms (two doubles bed) bed settee and shower room sleeps 4/6. One is two bedroom (one double and bunks) sleeping 4.
Three of the cottages are pet friendly and we do have a non- smoking policy inside the cottages.
