Caythorpe House is an AA 4 Star Silver Award guest house centrally situated in the seaside town of Swanage, Guests can look forward to a very friendly and relaxed envirionment in tasteful surroundings. We offer a choice of seven comfortable fully en-suite rooms augmented by a large guest lounge and modern breakfast room. Free on-site car parking to the rear of Caythorpe House is available for each of our double rooms. Enviably situated just 150m from Swanage's Award winning beaches some rooms offer a sea view towards Ballard Down. We are also a 3 minute level walk from Swanage town centre with it's restaurants, pubs, shops and other attractions.

We have has seven, newly refurbished bedrooms consisting of two singles and five doubles catering for a maximum of 12 guests. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with fully en-suite shower rooms and include fast free wi-fi, Freeview Television, Roberts FM radios, room safes, hairdryers and hot drink making facilities.  Two are situated on the ground floor. The remaining five are reached by a single gently rising staircase.

Our breakfasts are served in our large, sunny breakfast room and consist of juices, cereals, freshly cooked breakfasts to suit all dietary requirements all enjoyed with endless tea/coffee and hot toast. We have won Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence since 2013.

Road Directions

Our front garden is on Victoria Avenue (the A351) which is the main road into Swanage. We are situated on the corner of Victoria Avenue and Rempstone Road. Opposite the guest house is the church of the Holy Spirit and St Edmund.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest railway stations are Wareham and Bournemouth. Journey time from London Waterloo to Bournemouth is approximately 2 hours and to Wareham approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. Bus number 50 operates from Bournemouth Station to Swanage - journey time is 1 hour. Bus number 40 operates from Wareham Station to Swanage, journey time approximately 30 minutes.The nearest bus stop is within ¼ of a mile from the property.
