Burnbake Forest Lodges & Campsites - self catering lodge and camping holidays in Dorset near Corfe Castle, Swanage and Wareham.
Burnbake is a magical, woodland oasis surrounded by dramatic coastlines, blue flag beaches, coves, ridges and valleys at the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic coastline. The perfect place to relax a racing mind.
Children can be children, enjoying a sense of freedom and good old fashioned play, beavering by the stream, hiding in the woods and foraging for firewood.
A rural wildife haven, rabbits hop at your feet, birds sing, butterflies dance and squirrels - well, squirrel! Keep an eye out for deer too.
As twilight falls, campfires crackle and marshmallows wait to be toasted.
During peak season, our quirky (or should we say eccentric) little eatery tempts with artisan treats for a feast under twinkling fairy lights.
So, whether you prefer the traditional charm of camping or a touch of luxury with a stay in one of our chic lodges, kickback, relax and enjoy a back-to-nature adventure in Burnbake’s great outdoors.
Contemporary and stylish, our architect designed lodges are perfect for a luxury holiday hideway. Unwind over an alfresco lunch or BBQ supper on your furnished decking area. Soak in your bubbling hot tub.
Move inside and you will find a spacious, open plan living space, top styling, oak furniture, cosy sofas, flat screen television and a wood burning stove for toasting toes. And, yes, there’s WiFi!
The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook up a feast, a dishwasher for afterwards and little essentials such as dish clothes, washing up liquid and tea towels. Big name supermarkets can deliver right to your door and we have a small shop on site too.
With a choice of two or three bedrooms, each lodge has a master bedroom with a sumptuous king-size bed, robes, slippers and a full size en-suite bathroom. The other bedrooms are arranged as twins but one can be made into a double on request. All beds are made up ready for you to tumble into. Each lodge has a second bathroom with enough soft, fluffy towels for everyone.
For something extra special, our Executive Lodges are more spacious yet. Set in their own woodland glade for greater seclusion, they are equipped with an even higher level of furnishings, a Bang and Olufsen surround sound music player and an additional flat screen TV in the master bedroom.
Nearby you will find the steam railway directly to Swanage and Corfe Castle and also an outdoor activity centre. A little further, away the market town of Wareham is worth a visit and the excellent beach at Studland is just 2 miles away. There are some good cycle routes and first class walks directly from Burnbake.
Lodges are available all year for 3, 4 and 7 night breaks:
3 night weekends Friday - Monday
4 nights midweek Monday - Friday
7 night holidays Friday - Friday.
Two bedroom lodges sleep up to four people, three bedroom and executive lodges sleep up to six. Babies are included in total party number.
