Relax in the delightful surroundings at Bella Vista bed and breakfast and coastal retreat. The attractive, 6 bedroom Victorian villa, built in 1900 has everything you need for a getaway by the sea including breathtaking sea views across Swanage Bay towards the Isle of Wight.
A short path runs alongside the property and leads directly to North Beach. Swanage. This golden sandy beach has a small selection of beachside cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy. Alternatively enjoy the sea air and panoramic views from Bella Vista’s picturesque garden.
Located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck enabling you to explore many of the local areas of interest including: Corfe Castle, Swanage Steam Railway, Studland Beach, Kimmeridge with Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door a short drive down the coast. The South West Coast Path and, with its stunning views, can be easily accessed from the house with lovely walks leading to Old Harry Rocks, Durlston Country Park and the UNESCO Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Using local and home-made produce, wherever possible and supporting local suppliers we aim to create a relaxing and friendly coastal retreat for all our visitors. To Swanage
From Poole/Bournemouth, via Sandbanks Ferry – 01929 450203. www.sandbanksferry.co.uk .
From Ferry take the B3351 through Studland Village. After approx. ½ mile, turn left onto the Ulwell Road, signpost Swanage.
From Bournemouth/Poole – A35 to Bakers Arms roundabout. Take 1st exit onto A351, signpost Wareham. Follow signs for Corfe Castle and Swanage.
From Dorchester – A352 signpost Wareham. At Worgret roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A351, signpost Corfe Castle and Swanage.
From Weymouth – A353 signpost Wareham. At Warmwell roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A352, signpost Wareham. At Worgret roundabout, take 3rd exit onto A351, signpost Corfe Castle and Swanage.
Once you have locatined Burlington Road. Bella Vista is on the right immediately after the Grand Hotel.
From Wareham Station Take the no. 40 bus from Wareham Station to Swanage bus station. Either take the no. 50 bus to Crows Nest pub or, on foot (15 minutes), turn left onto Rempstone Road. At the traffic lights turn right onto Victoria Avenue. At the end turn left onto Shore Road. As you ascend the hill (Ulwell Road), pass the Crows Nest pub and turn right onto Burlington Road. Bella Vista is on the right after the Grand Hotel.
To Swanage
From the west: the nearest mainline railway station is Wareham (on the London Waterloo to Weymouth line). Catch the number 40 or bus from Wareham Railway Station to Swanage Bus/Railway Station. At times when the Swanage Railway is running: Travel on the number 40 bus to Corfe Castle (East Street stop) then catch the steam train from Corfe Castle Station to Swanage. From the east: Catch the train to Bournemouth Railway Station then transfer to the number 50 bus to Swanage Bus/Railway Station.
