Lyme Regis Art Group Events
Exhibition
The Lyme Regis Art Group draws artists from three counties - Dorset, Devon and Somerset, and actively encourages all new members from beginners to experienced artists.
They meet in The Woodmead Halls in Lyme Regis from 2pm to 4pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month between October and March for demonstrations from a variety of artists. Visitors are always welcome for a small charge.
They hold practical workshops every 2nd Monday in the month (October to March) from 10am to 1pm.
They are also offering an opportunity for outdoor sketching and painting on the last Tuesday afternoon in each month and additional practical painting days in April, May and June.
The Group holds a variety of exhibitions through the year. Our first is our main Annual Exhibition held over the Whitsun Bank Holiday. We then join in the Lyme Regis summer festivals. During the Lifeboat Week, we exhibit outside in the shelters on the main Marine Parade - weather permitting. In Carnival Week, we hold a two-day exhibition in the beautiful Masonic Hall in the centre of Lyme; and our final exhibition takes place either as part of the ArtsFest Week in Lyme or during the school autumn half-term.
