Enjoy the primordial thrill of gleaning the hedgerowsand being a ‘huntergatherer’.
Much of the day will be spent outside, concentrated around the Kingcombe Centre thanks to its abundance of fat hen, chickweed and hairy bittercress in the garden, as well as fully stocked hedgerows in the vicinity. Time in the afternoon will be dedicated to discussing the plants found on the forage with tasting opportunities. Simple ways of identifying plants, poisonous species, conservation and the law of foraging will also be touched upon.
