Dorset Opera Festival

Dorset Opera has established a considerable national reputation for the quality of its opera productions. One opera critic calling it “consistently on a par with UK’s five main opera companies”.

This year’s production on July 25 ,27 and 28 is Verdi’s Il Trovatore. Whilst on July 26 and 28 are performances of Puccini’s heart-rending one act opera Suor Angelica.
Partnering Suor Angelica in a double-bill, will be a touching and colourful comedy by the English polymath and eccentric, Lord Berners. Dorset Opera will present the British Stage Premiere of his enticing little comedy, Le Carrosse du Saint-Sacrement.

The opera’s are fully staged with international soloists and take place in the 500 seat Coade Theatre in the magnificent grounds of Bryanston.
