Through new compositions by Marc Yeats, John Surman, Billy Bragg and John K Miles, Coastal Voices aims to examine how our geology shapes our environment while, at the same time, raising the aspirations and standards of local choirs.

Coastal Voices is delivered by Lighthouse Poole in partnership with Creative Coast and local cultural agencies. It also includes a new partnership with international music producers Serious and will contribut to River of Music, an Olympiad programme showcasing music from the five continents at stages along the River Thames in London in 2012.

The project is supported by the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site through Creative Coast.

Multiple performances, Weymouth/Portland and the Jurassic Coast.Including songs for a coastal Wind by John Surman, taking influences from Thomas Hardy to Brazilian samba.

Friday 27th July: Weymouth Beach Live Site & ICCI360 Arena.
