B-side was established in 2008 to develop new creative talent and commission new interdisciplinary, site-based work that animate public spaces in Weymouth and Portland and the feel of the festival is a series of ‘encounters’ that are eccentric, challenging and thought provoking.

There will be activity across the whole of games time and the period in between, when B-Side will work with Ex-Lab on a project at Portland Bill.

A number of high quality live arts events and artists on the park & ride buses during the Olympic Games will be followed by a focus on deaf and disabled artists work during the Paralympic period.

B-Side also intends to establish a non-accredited citizen’s media centre where young people can report on the Olympic experience. The work from our 13-19 ‘Encounters’ programme will also feature throughout the summer.

Opening Times

B-Side (the Seaside) (27/07/2012 - 09/09/2012)
