Sturminster Newton Museum
Museum
The Museum's collection contains objects, documents and photographs relating to the history of the town and its surrounding villages. The history of the livestock market and the development of dairying is featured as well as, on permancent display, a large functioning model of Sturminster Newton Railway Station (now closed) which was once pivotal for the success of the market. There are also displays on the Roman villa sites surrounding Sturminster.
