Margaret Green Animal Rescue
Our Church Knowle Animal Sanctuary and Visitor Centre is free to visit between 10am and 4pm. Come and meet the animals at our site set in some of Dorset’s most beautiful scenery. Why not bring a picnic, spend a few hours and enjoy seeing for yourself the first-class care our rescue animals receive whilst they are with us. We also have a tea and gift shop for you to enjoy.
Established in 1965, Margaret Green Animal Rescue is the oldest and largest animal rescue charity founded in Dorset. Every year the charity cares for over 1,200 animals, many of which have been abandoned, unwanted and ill-treated, and rehome them to loving owners.
On Sunday 2nd August 2015 join us for our annual Companion Dog Show and Family Fun Day. There will be something for everyone, and every dog! Enter pedigree and novelty classes, enjoy a glass of Pimms, browse the stalls and try your luck on the tombola. The event is open between 11am and 4pm.
