Dorset Loves Arts in September. All sorts of arts events and celebration take place in September, mostly outdoors, to make up a month of exciting and inspiring events, ofthen at the coast and countryside in new ways.
We are celebrating the Cultural Olympiad up to London 2012 and beyond. Visit Dorset Loves Arts to find out more about the arts in Dorset. Three September festivals have been recognised nationally for their quality and as part of the build up to 2012.
Inside Out, 10 days of outdoor, extraordinary events in extraordinary places, 10 - 19 September with artists from the UK and Europe exploring the landscape across Dorset and the Jurassic Coast.
Inspired by the flipside of vinyl recordings B-Side multimedia arts festival offers you the opportunity to explore Weymouth and Portland with new eyes. Ambitious, experimental, site responsive and often quirky - artists' commissions in sound, installation, visual art and live art in unusual locat
ions from 17 - 26 September.
The third Olympics-inspired project, Count Me In is part of a south west region-wide celebration, involving everyone - from Morris Dancers to local bands, open days - something for everyone.
Many of these eventsare inspired by Dorset's beautiful environment, and in particular the Jurassic Coast - the only natural World Heritage Site with a dedicated arts programme - so visit Dorset in September and enjoy being outdoors!
