Discover the breathtaking Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage Site, stretching for 95 miles from neighbouring East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset. There is so much to do along this stunning coastline, which is world famous for fossil hunting. There are wonderful views for walkers on the South West Coast Path National Trail, or you can simply enjoy the spectacular scenery on a gentle coastal cruise.

Away from the coast you will find miles and miles of rolling countryside sprinkled with charming villages and fascinating market towns. Almost all of Dorset's countryside is protected and is home to a huge diversity of wildlife in downlands, tranquil river valleys, water meadows, woodlands and colourful heathlands.

It is no wonder that the area has captivated film and TV makers from all over the world. Productions of all kinds have been filmed on location here, with Dorset's unspoilt countryside, dramatic coastline and spectacular historic houses and gardens being used as a backdrop to the action.
