Press and Media

Dorset's stunning coastline, beautiful rural landscapes, delicious local produce and fascinating history have attracted many television and film researchers, journalists, and many other press and media professionals. The area has become famous as the setting for premier film and TV locations, and has also featured heavily in a number of world-renowned works of literature.

The Visit Dorset team deal with numerous press enquiries on a month to month basis and regularly provide information on possible stories and newsworthy events. In addition, we also host a variety of press trips in order to promote the county. In 2011, we worked with the Daily Mirror, ITV (Countrywise, Ade in Britain, The Hungry Sailor), The Sunday Times, Time Out London and Lexus Magazine amongst many others.

The team at Visit Dorset will be pleased to help with any enquiries about the area, and can assist with ideas for itineraries and places to stay arrange interviews and supply images.

For all UK based media enquiries, please contact one of our Local Area Tourism Officers. All overseas media enquiries should be directed to Loraine Morris on 01305 228536.
