Located within the grounds of the Christchurch Harbour Hotel, Alex Aitken at ‘The Jetty’ is a breathtaking environmentally-friendly waterside restaurant. Literally on the water’s edge of the estuary at Mudeford, ‘the jetty’ has walls of glass to drink in the views. Designed by Baufritz architects, the restaurant building is a modern, custom-built and innovative timber build, specifically chosen for its carbon-neutral qualities.
Alex Aitken one of the South of England’s most respected Michelin starred chefs is heading up the team at the new Restaurant, Bar & Grill. Alex is a ‘home-grown’ chef with a huge amount of knowledge and experience gleaned over a career dedicated to culinary excellence. His list of accolades includes the UK’s top food awards and has an unbridled commitment to local food.
Four words, location, food, views and atmosphere, describe the new place to stop – The Jetty where the water meets the land. Fresh fish, caught and landed daily from Mudeford Quay; seafood including local oysters, shrimps and lobster; and superb grills cooked in The Jetty’s charcoal oven, will be at the heart of the fabulous new restaurant. The waterside terrace is a place to gather; open a bottle, share a pile of seafood in the sea breeze, eat a char-grilled steak and simply sit back and chill.
The Jetty is available for full private hire for lunch or dinner and parties. With its stunning surroundings and water front, it is the ideal location for all your private functions and cocktail parties. Large group bookings with a personalized menu are also available.
